Call for papers

This workshop is structured to encourage a lively discussion regarding the challenges presented by learning settings with strategic agents. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Coalitions, Coordination, Collective Action, and Cooperation
  • Computational Social Choice
  • Decision Making Under Uncertainty
  • Game Theoretical Analysis of Multi-Agent Systems
  • Learning in Games (e.g. Equilibria Analysis)
  • Learning in Non-Stationary Environments
  • Mechanism Design for Learning Agents
  • Multi-Agent Equilibrium Learning
  • Preference Elicitation
  • Statistical Learning Theory for Strategic Settings

Submission Guidelines

We encourage submissions regarding ongoing or recent work related to the aformentioned topics. Papers that have appeared on arXiv, but haven't been accepted for publication, are encouraged. Papers will be evaluated based on their relation to the themes of the workshop, quality, originality, and correctness. All submissions will be subject to a double-blind review process.

Submitted papers must not exceeed 8 pages, with any additional pages containing bilbiographic references. In addition, an appendix of arbitrary length may be included at the end of the paper. Papers should be submitted in PDF document format and conform to the AAMAS 2022 formatting guidelines. Accepted papers will be listed on the workshop website, and authors will be invited to present a poster at a virtual poster session. Additionally, a select number of submissions will be invited to give a short oral presentation. Two accepted papers will be nominated to appear in Springer special issues, consisting of best workshop papers from AAMAS 2022 and visionary papers repsectively. We will not publish anything without the author's permission, and the author will be notified prior to the nomination.

However, if appendices are not included in your submission, please provide a reference to the full version of your paper (hosted on a paper repository such as arxiv) in the main body of your camera-ready paper.

Please adhere to the following instructions when submitting:

  • Deanonymize your submission by replacing the \documentclass[sigconf,anonymous]{aamas} command with the \documentclass[sigconf]{aamas} command.
  • Every final submission must include an abstract section and keywords (separated by semicolon).
  • Make sure there are no headers or footers (so do not remove the command \fancyhead{}).

  • Replace the copyright block in the AAMAS template with the following:
    	\setcopyright{none}
    	\acmConference[LSA'22]{Appears at the 1st Workshop on Learning with Strategic Agents (LSA 2022). Held as part of the Workshops at the 21st
    	International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (AAMAS 2022)}{May 9--10, 2022}{Online}
    	{N.~Bishop, M.~Han, L.~Tran-Thanh, H.~Xu, H.~Zhang (chairs)}
    	\copyrightyear{2022}
